I am just an ordinary person with an insatiable thirst for striving toward personal growth and well-being. I am not a super-hero, nor an expert, I am no guru or mental health doctor. I am just a person like any other, who thrives on trying to find the beauty in every day that unfolds.

I am also a wife to a wonderful man and a mother of two beautiful children. My profession is far from boring – I am a chocolatier. I live in South Africa in a beautiful town called Knysna on the Brenton-on-Sea coastline.

I have a passion for many things like nature, learning, literature, spirituality, and healthy food. I believe that we should wake up every morning with a smile… even when we don’t feel it on our lips naturally, and then strive to create a good day – even when bad happenings befall it. I believe that there are so many tools at our disposal to use at will in order to create positive change in our lives and I love to use them. Even though a natural optimist – I have had my fair share of traumatic life events and perhaps due to these, I try to always learn from what happens without casting judgement or blame. This is no easy task, but it is possible. I believe in trying to see the beauty in every situation – however long it takes to see it.

I too have my faults. I am always having to slay my stubborn beast – less now as I grow older – but certainly still from time to time. I am also extremely forgiving and empathetic – often to my own demise… but these traits can be healthy when I am feeling balanced.

The inspiration behind creating this blog is simple. I have ideas that I wish to share with whoever is interested in listening. I welcome debate and I hope that when I do share something that I find valuable to my own well being, that someone else may feel inspired too.

With that said – thank you for reading my blog. I am incredibly grateful for the time you have given me here. Have a beautiful day!
